SASSA might be rendering expert services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it can be alarmed with regards to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The assistance place designed for intervention encounters a higher inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it tough for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the here servicing of all buyers and enhance access to Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
